The formula
Worked example
On a ₹1,000 sale, commission is ₹100, payment fee ₹20, fixed fee ₹20 and shipping ₹60, so fees are ₹200. GST at 18% adds ₹36. TCS at 0.5% and TDS at 0.1% of ₹892.86 come to ₹5.36. The payout is about ₹759, and fees take 23.6% of the price.
Understanding your result
TCS and TDS are not extra costs: they are tax credits you can usually claim later, but they reduce the cash you receive. Your settlement report shows the real figures.
When to use it
- Check a settlement against your expectations.
- Compare fees across marketplaces.
- Plan cash flow from payouts.
Assumptions and limits
TCS and TDS rules and rates change, so check current rates with your tax adviser. The tool does not compute taxes on profit. Marketplace fees, GST rules and tax rates change and differ by category. The values pre-filled here are samples only. Replace them with the figures from your own rate card and settlement report.
